Kohler turned TWO Saturday, August 1st, but because Rob was
out of state training for his new job with the IRS, Kerri delayed
his birthday party until Saturday, the 8th.
It has become a family tradition to choose a
birthday cake from Bowman's. So after checking
out every cake in the book and not finding
anything Kohler liked, Kerri asked if they might
have something with Sesame Street. As soon
as Kohler heard "Elmo" the choice was made!
Kerri and Rob hosted the party at their home for the family
It's also tradition that the birthday person get to
choose what is served for dinner. Kohler loves
finger foods, fruit and veggies.
We all made ours into hoagies. Yummy!
Dinner over and time for the cake.
Kohler was not sure about have "fire" on his cake
and decided he needed Mom to help blow
out the candles!
all that yummy frosting!
you can just lean over and "woof" it down!
Hey, this is good stuff!
Love that face!
Look out!
Food Fight!
Uncle Rob/Dad really started something!
Of course, Kami couldn't resist
applying a
little cake to Brian's nose!
Cake and ice cream devoured...
It was time to open gifts.
Grandma Larson keeps the $1.00
tradition going!
Yeah, a water slide!
Hope it warms up soon!
(Temps. were only in the 70's)
Wow! All this for me!
Uncle Brian, Hailey and Grandma wrapped
their present in a blanket. When we asked
Kohler to look under the blanket he found
his gift...a toy car!
No, No! Pull the blanket off, Kohler!
Ian was quick to help Kohler
"get on" his trike.
Kohler quickly took off pushing himself
along with his feet and tipping over
frequently, so Mom stood guard to catch him.
Put you feet on the peddles and
push Kohler!
It won't be long until he gets the hang
of it and will then terrorize everyone
as he races around the house!
Gifts opened and enjoyed everyone
decided to head outside to jump on the
trampoline. This used to be our trampoline
when the children were little. I was going to get
rid of it, but Kerri asked to see if it was still
in good enough condition to use. And guess what...
...it was. So, now it has found a new home with
the Stuart's.
The kids loved playing "Duck, Duck, Goose"
and just simply being bounced around by
Brian and Kami.
We had a great time and love
being together as a family!
Just wish Uncle Myq was here to
celebrate with us!
Happy Birthday, Kohler!
