Easter is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the
reason for the season. I love being with my family and
starting family traditions. One that is now in its third year is
Grandma's Easter Party usually held on Saturday. But, this
year we held it on Friday afternoon.
I always wonder if the kids enjoy coming to Grandma's.
But this year it was confirmed that they love the party when
Ian woke up at 5:45 a.m. and asked his mom if it was time to
go to Grandma's party! And, Hailey continued to remind
me on Thursday that we were having our party "tomorrow".
That absolutely delighted me!
I start a couple of months in advance shopping for just
the right "prizes" and individual wrapping paper.
Instead of giving lots of candy, there are prizes for each of
the games and inside many of eggs that are hidden. They
can draw from a bag that holds their very own prizes.
First we search for hidden "carrots" strategically placed all around the
Clues are set up so they are never in the same place at the same time
And of course, the end clue leads them to a special hidden prize!
Relay races are as much fun for the adults as the kids. How fun to
Dad get a cheat sheet to help them.
Then its downstairs to be basement for the "treasure hunt" which is
one of my favorites activities. This year Hailey and Ian knew exactly
what to do and it was almost impossible to keep up and get pictures
they were so quick.

try to keep the other from reaching the finish line!
