Our family recently had the privilege of
attending Marianne's and James' wedding!
It was such a joy to share in their special day...
To see the beginnings of an eternal family.
It was wonderful to be a part of the day's celebration!
We all enjoyed the luncheon hosted by James' family.
The reception at Le Jardin that evening
was the perfect setting to greet family and friends.
I couldn't help but think as I pondered later how similar weddings and
funerals are. They are two occasions that bring family and friends
together to celebrate life...a well-lived life and the beginning of a
new life.
Weddings often extend our circle of friends and family as we gather
together. Funerals many time renews friendships and family ties that
may have been separated through time.
Weddings and funerals...an odd couple. Different as can be...yet so
very similar...uniting and bringing individuals together. Giving us
an opportunity to honor those we love and hold dear!
